Driving Sustainable Change using HVO Fuel

In April 2022, J Coffey made the transition to HVO fuel for our *entire plant, partnering with New Era Energy. This decision positioned us ahead of the curve in adopting sustainable alternatives.

HVO offers a reduction in net emissions by up to 90% compared to diesel and from April 2022 to October 2025, J Coffey replaced over 1.2 million litres of traditional diesel with HVO fuel, resulting in substantial carbon emissions savings.

This successful shift was driven by key members of our team; our Plant Director Abas Gjutaj has championed the integration of sustainable practices within the Plant Division and has been an integral part of the company for 26 years. Tim Rayner our Operations Manager, affirms our commitment to driving sustainable methods for the last 12 years so that we “make a difference”.
