Progress Update | 68-71 Newman Street

A recent visit to 68–71 Newman Street highlighted not only the impressive temporary works & engineering coordination currently enabling the next phase of this complex city-centre redevelopment, but also some significant recent project achievements.

The team successfully completed the 𝗥𝗖 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲 & 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲, with the tower crane now installed & operational.

As significant structural alterations take shape, the project is showcasing some of the most interesting stages of construction:
🔹 Existing columns supported above ground level on specially designed temporary steel frames & piles
🔹 Large openings formed through the building structure
🔹 Temporary works supporting slab edges while new steel frames are installed
