Biodiversity Week on Dublin Data Centre! Posted 25th May 2025 by Linda Corcoran Celebrating Biodiversity Week, the J Coffey team at our Pure Dublin data centre site took action for local ecosystems. We procured custom native wildflower seed packets, featuring the J Coffey logo, for distribution on site – fostering biodiversity even in urban construction. Our skilled carpenters also upcycled waste wood into unique flowerpots, now vibrant with a variety of flowers, showcasing our team’s sustainable ingenuity. These initiatives create vital pockets of biodiversity and highlight the importance of native plants. We are proud of our team’s commitment to environmental integration

This latest forum proved to be particularly insightful, thanks to the participation of guest speaker: John Dowling MSc, CMIOSH of Balfour Beatty plc. Double Safety Win for Powergate Posted 2nd May 2025 by Linda Corcoran Our Data Centre Team at Powergate have celebrated a double victory for its commitment to health and safety, securing two recent Mace awards. The first is the Mace Monthly Safety Award, with the client commending the team’s efforts and the “major part” safety plays in the project’s success. Adding to this, Ilmi and Iulian received the Mace Monthly Award for Individuals, recognising their outstanding contributions to maintaining high safety standards. Calvert Green Overbridge Posted 8th April 2025 by Linda Corcoran Our J Coffey Infrastructure team, working on behalf of client Kier Group successfully poured a monumental 400 cubic meters of concrete to form the central pier of the Calvert Green Overbridge structure for the HS2 project. The successful pour represents a major milestone in the construction schedule, demonstrating the team’s expertise and commitment to delivering high-quality structures for the infrastructure needs of the UK. The accomplishment is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and collaborative spirit of the J Coffey Infrastructure team. “This massive concrete pour is a crucial step in the development of the Calvert Green Overbridge, Our team’s ability to manage and execute such a large-scale operation efficiently and safely is a credit to their professionalism and experience. Demolition Begins at 17 Columbus Court: A Focus on Safety and Sustainability Posted 8th April 2025 by Linda Corcoran The demolition phase at 17 Columbus Court, for our client Morgan Sindall Group plc is officially underway, marking a significant step in the building’s transformation. A key highlight was the arrival of City Lifting Limited mobile crane, which commenced the delicate and precise removal of the building’s facade. We are particularly excited to track and report on the carbon emissions savings achieved by recycling the glass back into the construction process with our trusted supplier Saint-Gobain. This initiative reflects a growing industry-wide push towards sustainable demolition practices and a circular economy.
